Streets adorned with twinkling lights cast a warm glow on the snow-kissed city, creating a picturesque scene of festive enchantment. The citizens of Sanctum, fueled by the spirit of giving, join in joyful preparations. Quaint shops emanate the scents of cinnamon and pine, while markets bustle with cheerful shoppers and carolers serenade the streets.

In this winter wonderland, Sanctum becomes a symbol of unity, kindness, and the true joy of Christmas. The city stands aglow with lights, embracing the magic of the season and inviting all to share in the warmth and enchantment of the holidays."

During the Christmas Event, there are multiple events to captivate and engage your characters. In Character, the Christmas market is open from today until New Years eve.

Sanctum’s Christmas Market

In the Sanctum city square, a bustling Christmas market has sprung to life. Wooden stalls adorned with twinkling lights, festive wreaths, and snow create a charming atmosphere. Wandering through, you can spend hours exploring. Whether you crave a cup of warm mulled wine or hot chocolate topped with cream, or simply wish to browse through the homemade goods people have on display, the Christmas market ensures a delightful and cozy afternoon.

The Ice Skating Rink

Right next to the Christmas market is a spacious ice skating rink, carefully crafted for optimal enjoyment. The quality of the ice has been meticulously maintained, ensuring a pleasant skating experience. Adorned with enchanting lights both above and within the ice, the rink transforms into a magical spectacle, particularly after the sun sets. Fear not if you lack ice skates – plenty are available for borrowing, inviting everyone to join in the festive fun.

Christmas Banquet

On Christmas Eve, an invitation is extended to every citizen to partake in the grand Christmas Banquet. Across various locations in the city, expansive tables await, laden with a feast crafted by the collaborative efforts of Cerynia's companies, presenting their finest foods and drinks. Additionally, it's a cherished tradition for each attendee to bring a dish to share, fostering a communal spirit reminiscent of a colossal potluck celebration.

Wishing Balloons

As the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve, the citizens of Cerynia release wishing balloons, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of flickering lights ascending into the night sky. Each balloon carries with it a wish for the upcoming year, a collective plea to Xerneas for continued blessings. While this enchanting tradition is a joyous way to welcome the new year, it is widely understood that neglecting to express gratitude with a flower beneath the Tree of Life is considered ill-mannered and believed to invite bad luck.

Starlight Waltz

Following the ethereal ascent of the wishing balloons, a grand dance commences at the city square, marking the onset of the new year. This sophisticated event exudes an air of fanciness and elegance, with citizens adorning their outfits with some form of light. The city square transforms into a homely dance floor, where the twinkle of lights mirrors the joyous spirit of the celebration. It's a radiant and enchanting affair, where the collective rhythm of the dance echoes the shared optimism for the year ahead.
