Due to the fact that Emma has been raised by her parents very protectively, the girl developed a very naïve perspective on the world. Emma is very optimistic and trusting, always looking for the good in people and situations. She is filled with a sense of wonder and excitement, eager to explore the world. 
However, she can be very vulnerable to manipulation or deception, as she doesn’t have an awareness of potential dangers.

Emma was the second born into the Hutsefluts family, herself unaware of being second born. Emma’s parents raised her very protective and sheltered, scared of losing their daughter like they lost their son. Whatever Emma might be needing, she had within reach. Emma’s parents are very loving people, towards their kid - but also towards each other and the world around them. Always wanting to do better, to help the people around them. Growing up, Emma also grew into these traits, making her a very friendly, loving and helpful person.

Starting school, Emma found it easy to make new friends. Kids came to play at her house often, her large home and loving parents a popular spot for kids who had it less than her.
Emma grew up to be the kid who was visibly spoiled. She was always brought to school by one - or both - of her parents, had packed the most colorfull lunches, and had food to share at all times.

Getting older, Emma realised there was one thing she wasn’t getting from her parents; freedom. While other kids were allowed to go to a shopping mall with friends, Emma wasn’t allowed to do so. Playing in the park with a friend? Not without one of her parents or their pokémon watching. When teenager Emma had asked why, her parents explained that they simply wanted her to be safe.

Going into her mid to late teenage years, the girl realised she needed something more. As she had seen exactly nothing of the world, because of her parents being so overprotective. Emma developed a sense of adventure - from stories she had seen in movies, or read about in books. She had asked, begged her parents to let her go to Cerynia, explaining she had done her research and people lived in peace with their pokémon. That it seemed wonderfully safe for her.
