At this point he had tried everything. Míngzé had tried cleaning the burned places, he had used Sāng’s advice, he had thrown the burned couch away and still the smell did not go away. Without breaking his neck he made it to the doorbell and pressed the button once. Now all he had to do was wait for Maeve to open the door. Dia had also found something to keep him busy while waiting, a stick that was way too big for him.
