for those who love when not yet healed

i think hurt people attract other hurt people.
it's like some sixth sense.
we seek each other out,
create a relationship based on anxiety and past trauma
where we race to escape unscathed;
revolving around each other
as if we are each other's suns.
some of us are yet to be healed,
the wounds are still bleeding, scabbing,
not quite faded scars.

i suppose it could be worse though,
imagine an unhealed person finding a healed one,
imagine breaking someone who was so whole
before you.
tearing them apart
the same way
someone once did
to you.
