Míngzé accepted this pokémon for Lucina after she gifted it to him as a 'thank you'-gift for helping her. It was because she told him she did not have the needs to take care of more than one pokémon, that he accepted. However it quickly became evident that the pokémon did not like him that much as he still is unable to touch her. Because of Sang, he now believes this pokémon to be a Vulpix.

The houndour remains a mystery to Míngzé. After what he believes to be an horrible nightmare that was too real, the pup was just there. He has no idea where the pokémon comes from, but for some reason kept it at his side. He hopes to one day figure out what exactly happened that day and where the pup actually comes from. Míngzé is trying to train him to help him doing daily tasks like a guide dog, but he has no idea what he is doing.
