Ruìsāng met the other's accusation with playful innocence. “What makes you think that? Have I not been honest to a fault?” he responded, his grin mischievous. Well, maybe he wasn't the epitome of honesty, but he certainly hadn't been caught in a lie yet, and that counted for something, didn't it?

Remember when he told Ruìsāng that he was an asshole? Ruìsāng raised an eyebrow playfully at the other's accusation. “Are we using petnames already?” he countered easily. The other held out his hand and Ruìsāng giggled, asking if the other was free after this class. He half-expected a 'no,' but to his pleasant surprise, the other agreed. Ruìsāng's smile turned into a flirtatious grin.

“Then it’s settled. We can go out after class. There’s no need to wait, right?” he declared, gently placing the phone back into the other's hand. He covered the device with his own hand, their fingers brushing against each other as he locked eyes with the other. The people around them might have been curious or annoyed, but Ruìsāng didn't care. He had a date to look forward to, after all.

Mingwe huffed as the other tried to deny it. “Making fun of someone and judging them, is not the same.” No matter how honest he might have been. Yet there was no reasoning with this man and still he tried. That probably made him a fool.

The comment made him quickly look away and roll his eyes. Pet names. Not in a million years. Míngzé did not want to admit it, but it left him a bit flustered but he pushed that aside. It was again the other trying to irritate him, push his buttons, and damn him it worked again.

His fingers curled around his phone instantly when it got placed in his hand. It was a good thing he knew exactly what the other had done. Besides taking his phone number, he’d done nothing else. The moment he could feel the others fingers however, he pulled back as quickly as he could. He held his phone against his chest, as if afraid he would lose it again otherwise. “Nothing is settled, I did not agree to any of this,” he said with  a hint of panic in his voice. It was partially true. In a way he’d agreed, only this was not part of his big plan.

“You can't just decide this.” Míngzé had a whole lesson to learn because someone kept bothering him during class. Was it even worth staying here? He could leave during the break. Pretend he had to go to the toilet and just never come back.

The other recoiled his hand dramatically, as if it had brushed against a live wire, evoking a mischievous grin from Ruìsāng. The other claimed nothing was settled, that Ruìsāng couldn’t unilaterally make these decisions. Ruìsāng, undeterred, hummed softly, casually tapping his fingers against the book he had set down.

“Didn’t you? I recall you agreeing to go out with me,” he said, his smile exuding innocence, though mischief glimmered in his eyes. “And conveniently, you mentioned being free today. It seems to work perfectly for both of us, don’t you think? I just so happen to be free today as well,” he added, his tone challenging, the dare implicit in his crimson gaze.

“Unless… you’re afraid of a little adventure? I thought you claimed your life was anything but dull,” he teased, narrowing his eyes playfully.

With narrowed eyes Míngzé looked at him again. Everytime he used his own words against him. They were just words, however. He could fight back again and keep telling him no. If he was stubborn long enough, the other would eventually give up. It would be too boring and he could attend his class in peace again. And alone. “One hour, not a second longer and I get to actually listen to what the professor has to say for once,” he stated, clearly still not happy about this turn of events. Those were his demands.

To show that he was not about to have a discussion again, he pulled his laptop closer and readjusted his headset by placing it on the ear where the other was sitting. If he tried, he might be able to catch up. He even turned on his recording on his phone again.

Ruìsāng's lips curled into a mischievous grin as he glanced at the clock. One hour– that was the reluctant agreement. With a chuckle, he settled back into his seat, begrudgingly opening the textbooks spread out before him. Business ethics, a subject he found about as exciting as watching paint dry.

While dutifully jotting down notes on ethical theories and real-world case studies, Ruìsāng multitasked with practised ease, his fingers deftly swiping through the gallery of his phone. His intention? Finding a venue that balanced teasing amusement with restraint– a place where he could mock the other without overwhelming him. The idea of dragging him to a pulsating club seemed unwise. Funny, but unwise.

Class mercifully ended, and without missing a beat, Ruìsāng flashed a grin and swiftly packed away his books. "Come on, don't dawdle," he urged, barely allowing his companion time to gather his belongings before tugging him along. It was time for some amusement, and Ruìsāng was determined to ensure that his classmate didn't escape the upcoming fun.
